The UCP pillow block consists of a bearing insert with a spherical outer diameter in a 2 bolt cast iron housing.. The bearing is usually fixed to the shaft by means of two set screws in the extended portion of the inner ring.

Note:Pillow block bearings consist of a sealed single-row ball bearing with a spherical outer ring which is mounted in a housing. Because of the spherical outer surface of the bearing, shaft misalignment can be compensated for. The bearings are manufactured with a plus tolerance.
